Peer Review Process

To make a quick decision about the submitted manuscript, we start an internal editorial review, which may take 3-5 working days. In this initial review process, the maximum number of manuscripts were filtered; those not meeting the journal criteria will be rejected at this stage.

The general criteria for initial review of a manuscript are:
  1. Advances in multidisciplinary scientific knowledge with originality
  2. Provides an adequate and relevant literature review
  3. Utilizes scientifically solid, reliable, and reproducible methodologies
  4. Derives appropriate and justifiable conclusions based upon the experimental data presented
  5. It is written in English and is of the utmost quality and clarity.

The manuscripts clear the initial review and meet journal criteria for publication, then the manuscript will be reviewed by two external reviewers (single-blinded) who are experts and active in the manuscript's related field. The whole process will take 3-6 weeks or more, depending on reviewers' availability. The editor/managing editors take the final decision based on reviewers' comments/recommendations, including minor revision, major revision, resubmission with justification to editor/reviewer comments, or decline.
